About Me

Somatic Practitioner & Facilitator

Hi I’m Chantel,

a somatic practitioner and facilitator. I facilitate embodied, communal spaces rooted in resonance, movement, liberation, and care for those who are used to holding a lot.

I received my B.A. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and a M.A. in Somatic Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS).

I navigate life with the belief that every human has an inner world of curiosity and creativity inside them. I believe this inner world is tapped into when we’re living passionately and in alignment. It’s also the space we access when bravery or a space of retreat is needed to face feelings of fear, uncertainty, or vulnerability.

For me, this inner world roots and connects us to the truest version of ourselves as we move throughout our daily lives, and it’s my deepest desire to help people get curious about, explore, and make meaning of this inner world via reflection, movement, and creative inquiry.

As a Black woman from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, society’s constant misperception of me eventually led me toward retreating into and befriending my own inner world, to understand myself for who I actually am while also discovering what brings me true joy and pleasure.

I’m here to help you explore and connect with what brings YOU joy and pleasure

as an act of resilience

as an act of reclamation and

as an act of self-preservation.

Thank you for being here with me.
