The Workshop

  • A workshop that guides participants to tap into their creative confidence and inner expression via the power of writing.

    Each workshop includes:

    • Creative icebreakers and group activities to spark connection and laughter

    • Guided grounding and sensory activations to awaken your 5 senses and unlock vivid, immersive writing

    • Writing prompts and reflective journaling to help you connect with and discover your voice*

    • Engaging opportunities to share your work among other workshop participants.

    *Workshop participants are welcome to engage via alternative mediums of their choice if writing isn’t accessible.

    Duration: 2 hours minimum

  • All rates include preparation time, facilitation, and materials. Final pricing reflects group size, goals, and duration.

    Share your budget in the inquiry form and we will establish final pricing in a follow up call.

    • Additional fees for workshops more than 2 hours.

  • These workshops are for individuals ages 12+ who:

    • love to write

    • want to explore their creativity via writing

    • want to write with other creatives in a supportive and positive space

    • desire to build confidence in their voice and personal creativity

    These workshops are also ideal for organizations, corporations, or businesses who want to promote community, collective creativity, and opportunities for their staff/teams to deepen together.

  • Chantel Dominique is a writer and poet with a degree in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley.

    In her previous work as a youth engagement coordinator and facilitator, Chantel supported participants’ exploration of their creative voice and confidence.

    Some of her experiences include hosting a 5-week writing workshop series for youth on the MS Gulf Coast. She has also created and hosted writing workshops for the California Institute of Integral Studies and Teach for America.

    Passionate to continue building engaging experiences for writers, dreamers, and creators to explore their inner stories and creativity, Chantel Dominique is excited to collaborate with you & help you fulfill your workshop goals!

  • Can the workshop content be tailored to different age groups?

    • Absolutely! Whether for youth (age 12+) or adults, these workshops are age-appropriate and tailored to your community or organization’s specific age group.

    Can participants engage in these workshops other than writing?

    • Of course! Past participants have participated by drawing, scrapbooking, and collaging. Other ways to participate can look like: visual arts, filmmaking, dance, etc. The goal of these workshops is to support your personal creativity and voice, so whatever medium best supports participants’ creative process is welcome! If you aren’t sure your creative process can be supported in these workshops, please reach out!

    Are these workshops virtual or in-person?

    • These workshops are available both online and in person. For in-person sessions held outside of my immediate area, travel expenses may need to be reimbursed or included in the final pricing—we can discuss details based on location.

    Can you include yoga in these workshops?

    • Yes! These workshops already include grounding activities to support participants with settling into the space and engaging their five senses for the creative process. However, yoga sessions can be incorporated upon request to offer participants a holistic experience that nurtures both body and creativity.
